Manufacturing Process

HMCL Shakti 53 has unmatched strength, and is suitable for high-grade concrete. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has standardized curves correlating the 28th day cube compressive strength of concrete and the water-cement ratio. There are six curves. HMCL Shakti 53 is placed well above all the curves. Concrete made with HMCL Shakti 53 is the best with low water-cement ratio and high strength. The additional reserve strength facilitates optimum design and capacity to shoulder extra loads.

In addition to superior strength,
HMCL Shakti 53 contains low alkali level. Concrete made with HMCL Shakti 53 is safe against alkali-silica reaction.

The units manufacturing
HMCL Shakti 53 have the latest equipment including VRM (Vertical Roller Mills) and the latest preheater technology. The raw materials contain special elements which make the clinker more reactive.

HM Cements Limited has selected very high fatty limestone from Cherrapungee belt. This limestone does not have any impurities like alkalis etc. We have also selected high purity siliceous materials with minimum impurities. Also the coal which is used in the process is of a very high grade with ash content of less than 16.0 Percent. The Gypsum which is used has a purity of more than 90.0 Percent.

Our research laboratories have developed methods which allow us to intervene on the production parameters to obtain improved uniformity of cement properties, thus better meeting the needs of our clients.
With the same ambition for all our researchers: that we leftover the favorite provider of our customers.
